Also found cheap perfume at Orchard.. Real cheap.. Great buy.. Got Eternity for dear 100mls only $49.. I got my Romance 100mls at only $73... Cheap cheap...

It's unbelivable...

Been an extra busy day.. Got pt with low BP needs to come in as she needed dialysis and was not breathing well.. We tried settle things fast and took pt in at 9 am!! Big mistake.. Upon transfer to our bed and hook the patient onto the monitor, it showed a flat line.. My goodness.. All went in to help resus... then... another room patients who is real sick HR drop!!! ARR.. Must it all happen at the same time????
End of our brunch.. No food, no drinks for the entire shift!!!!
The 1st patient who collapse we gave up after 30 mins down time.. Told family she's gone and going to sign up.. But cuz she still was having some dying ECG rhythm, so we left the monitor on to wait for a flat lie.. Miraculously, after like 5 mins plus, her ECG came back and she had a blood pressure!! My goodness.. Everyone working was shock!! It's the 1st time i seen this happening..
But for the 2nd patient, he died.. Resus 3 times but he didn't make it..
This is life.. U never can expect wat will happen next..


After work went for movie.. With my cousin, sis and dear.. A funny and cute movie.. Worth to catch it..

My experiance working in GENERAL WARD!!!

Went to work and was taking report 1/2 way through when i heard my name mentioned from behind sis room.. The next moment i was told that i need to go to 47 to work.. My goodness.. In my entire working life i never worked in a general ward and i need to take 12 patients..
I was so lost and i felt like crying.. I wish this is not happening to me.. Why me cuz normally it's the most Junior on that day be sent and that's not me... To rub salt to the wound, some b***** sis came and told jokingly told all the 47 staff, "I send my staff up she not happy lei.."
I just felt so small at that point of time..
I was trying hard to cope with the stress i was going through and the ic sis Lee came to me and talk to me and she can understand my stress of 1st time working in a GW as she too been through it.. She also told me wat she went through before i went up to help.. Then she thank me for going up to help.. Well not like i had a choice but at least it's comforting..
I also feel tat being in her shoes is hard.. it's tough, with pile of work to do, staying for like 2 shifts to complete her work and to need to face ppl, boss, who may be unreasonable at times!! I admire all the GW sister who's like her..
Anyway i had a ok day at wd 47... Patients ok and with helpful SN and ENs.. They were nice and helpful..
Then docs and even patient's relatives ask me and ask why i was up there.. At that moment in time i thought to myself tat actually i'm not so Small but just unappreciated by some ppl..
BUT i don't care.. They are not ppl who i nurse..
i don't wan to be hurt by these ppl and make me upset..

I was packing my room on my RD and found this which i wrote 8 years ago in class..

IT Fair 2008 15th June 2008

Went to the IT fair straight after nite shift.. Been to the last fair and feel the last was better as more things to see and more discounts..
Went to look for cam and external hard disk... In the end, i spend a bomb there..
$800 Plus!! My goodness!!! In the end i didn't bought the cam which i saw at the last IT fair!!

I'm Sick again.. Haiz..

So so so sick of work..

Everyone at work is tired and not giving their best at it.. Feel it compromise patients and it's just bad.. And the pile of rubbish u got to receive at the end of the day, SUCKS..... Arrr...
Working with 3 staff is bad enough and on top of that u get "out of mind" patients and family members..
Shift work cause you to spend lesser time with ur family and love ones.. Cuz weekends and public holidays off is a Die Hard to come by... managers count our sleeping day off as part of a weekend off!!!
"They don't get the terms right.. It's SLEEPING DAY NOT REST DAY loh.."
So most of the time is work work work.. PH and weekends for us is different from the rest of office workers..
They are off, we got to work, when we off they are back to work.....
PPl think our pay is alot.. MY FOOT!!! Wat is a lot.??? Is just LOTS of work, stress and overwork!!!
Haiz.. This is service line..!!! It just sucks...

My impression of nursing changed when i decided to join 9 years back... When we left sec school.. My 1st choice was nursing!!! I thought well it's a job plus i can help ppl.... But i regretted in my 2nd year of study... Nursing is just full of paper work.. Nursing care is just like 15% of it all..
But i stay on.. With much to regret, it still remains the same but just in a lesser proportion.. maybe not even 10%.. lesser staff to cope with sicker patients.. So how to give quality care???
I wonder if management knows the suffering and stress we have?? I doubt so..
All they feel is we are over staff!!!
